Former Leeds United stars turned back the clock to their sporting heyday as they took part in a fundraising football match.
Ex-United player and manager Simon Grayson, pictured, was among those in action in yesterday’s (Sept 16) game in support of Pontefract’s Prince of Wales Hospice.
Glynn Snodin, Neil Aspin, Clyde Wijnhard and Mark Tinkler also appeared in the match, which was held at Castleford Tigers’ Probiz Coliseum stadium.
The United side was up against a team of local footballers bolstered by Tigers favourites Danny Orr and Ryan Hudson.
Sharron Chapman, from the hospice, said the game had attracted a crowd of just under 600 people. She added: “We’re so grateful to everyone who came along to play or watch, their support is very much appreciated.”
