Returning to school is just around the corner but memories of a special summer won’t fade in a hurry.
Youngsters across the city have enjoyed an action-packed six weeks to help them banish the holiday blues.
They have battled with their favourite superheroes at the Royal Armouries and been given the chance to pick up their buckets and spades and create sandcastles in the heart of Leeds city centre.
And thousands of children have enjoyed the annual Breeze Festival which has toured across communities over the last six weeks.
Crafty kids also explored their creative and playful sides by making their very own robots as part of the city’s mission to create 10,000 robots by the end of October.
And today the Yorkshire Evening Post is showcasing some of our favourite shots our team of photographers took at summer events across the city.
