A UNIQUE programme celebrating women in the arts is being launched in Leeds.

A series of concerts organised by South Asian Arts-uk (SAA-uk) will start at the end of March.

Keranjeet Kaur Virdee, chief executive of the charity, said: “The arts are an amazing vehicle, which transcends cultural boundaries and allows freedom of expression and we have some very talented female performers whose artistic excellence deserves recognition.”

‘Yerma’ will be performed on March 29 at 7.30pm at The Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and ‘Untold Stories’ will be at Trinity Leeds on March 30, at 3pm. For details, visit www.saa-uk.org.
