A popular Leeds website should be up-and-running again within days after a period out of action.
The Secret Leeds site has been offline for about a fortnight, leaving users fearful for its long-term future.
Now, however, one of the people responsible for setting up the site has said its discussion forums should click back into life by the end of next week.
Duncan Scobie, managing partner at Tyrell Mobile, said: “The site is going to be transferred to a new server which will be more than capable of handling the amount of traffic it receives.
“I’ve been overwhelmed by the number of inquiries and e-mails since the site went down.
“It is a testament to how much the site is valued and enjoyed by the people of Leeds.”
Secret Leeds was launched in 2007 with the support of Marketing Leeds, now known as Leeds and Partners.
It is dedicated to the hidden and sometimes forgotten side of life in the city.
Discussion forums cover subjects such as demolished pubs, place name meanings and even spooky ghost stories.
