In the latest shots, Mr Taylor is pictured wearing a dark coloured jacket but he is thought to be wearing white Reebok trainers.

Police have stressed that they are eager to trace Mr Taylor as he may have important information about the incident in which a 23-year-old woman was attacked near to the towpath of the Leeds Liverpool Canal just off Viaduct Road, Armley at about 8pm on Monday last week.

Det Insp Lloyd Batley, of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: "Any members of the public who see him are asked not to approach him but to contact police immediately."

* Anyone with information should contact West Yorkshire Police on 0845 6060606 or Lancashire Police on 0845 125 35 45.
