A convicted arsonist has gone missing after being released early from prison.
Police believe Ian Marjoram could be in Harrogate – and are appealing for the public’s help to find him.
Marjoram, 46, was freed on licence in April having served part of a four years and three months sentence for recklessly endangering lives by committing arson over an incident on East Parade, Harrogate, in 2011.
He was also convicted of burglary and failing to surrender to police. The Probation Service contacted North Yorkshire Police after Marjoram failed to return to his address in York on September 30.
It is believed he travelled to Harrogate and has been staying there.
Chief Inspector Ian Thompson, of the Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Command, said: “To assist our already extensive efforts to trace Ian Marjoram, I am urging residents and people who work in Harrogate to keep an eye out for a man matching his description.”
The public are being urged not to approach Marjoram but call 999, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, if the see him.
