Rufus Hound: Comedian to get his teeth into Leeds Grand role

An award-winning production makes it’s only stop in Yorkshire at the Grand Theatre in Leeds.

Nicholas Hytner’s One Man, Two Guvnors comes to the theatre from December 11 to 15 with comedian Rufus Hound taking the role of Francis Henshall in Richard Bean’s award-winning version of Carlo Goldoni’s classic Italian comedy, The Servant of Two Masters.

One Man Two Guvnors also features live skiffle band The Craze.

Rufus said: “I’d seen the play with James Corden in it and thought ‘what a great job for a stand-up’. I never imagined for a moment that I would get that job.”

“This show hits your funny bone from all sides. You want a funny dance routine? Here’s one of those. You want someone doing a bit of xylophone or a funny song? There’s a bit of that.

“We do physical falls, we do word play, we do pun runs.”

Tickets from £15 to £31 by calling 0844 848 2700 or: www.leedsgrandtheatre.com
