Rudimental: Chart-toppers give Leeds Met University students music career tips

Chart-toppers Rudimental passed on their successful beats to music students at Leeds Metropolitan University.

Piers Aggett and Kesi Dryden, who make up half of the group, returned back to the classroom after graduating from Leeds Met four years ago.

The band, who earned themselves a MOBO nomination, took part in a lively question and answer session with the students before their concert at the O2 Academy in Leeds.

Andrew Fryer, head of the School of Film, Music & Performing Arts at Leeds Met, said: “With a triple platinum UK number one single and over 15 million hits on YouTube they have shown us how to achieve success.

“I am doubly pleased that, as graduates from Leeds Met, they are taking time out from their busy schedule to come back to the university to share their experiences with us and inspire our current students.”
