Roundhay School Technology College celebrates glowing Ofsted report
Roundhay School Technology College is celebrating an excellent Ofsted report.
A HMI judged the school to be "a fully comprehensive and inclusive school which provides and outstanding education for its students, so they achieve high standards and achieve very well."
This is a rare accolade and the inspectors were glowing in their praise over the progress the school has made in achieving its 'High performing' school status only the second in Leeds to be rated Outstanding.

Gillian Hayward, chair of Governors and Parents, said: "This is a fantastic tribute to all our staff, who have worked tirelessly along with the pupils supported by their parents to earn this stunning report as high performing school which underlines 'the determination to help every child achieve'
"As a parent and governor myself I could n't be happier for the school that Ofsted has confirmed our views so clearly. Pupils, Parents, Staff and governors can be rightly proud of this wonderful achievement."
Headteacher, Neil Clephan, said: "To be judged 'Outstanding' is an incredible and hard won achievement that has given everyone an enormous boost.
"I am delighted that our wonderful and extremely hard working support and teaching staff have had their work day in and day out, year after year to give the best all round educational experience to all our pupils and families recognised by Ofsted.
"They praised the team work and tremendous commitment, both in time and energy, of staff alongside their sheer determination to rigorously review and improve all that they do on behalf of all children at Roundhay to help them achieve very well. We know we have set ourselves high standards and my colleagues are already planning for the next phase of our development which we believe will be even more exciting!"
Ofsted report highlights included:

* Attendance is outstanding. This reflects students' enjoyment in coming to school and their appreciation of the work staff do on theory behalf.

* A clear determination to help every child achieve of their best
This shared approach to improvement is reflected in the whole school evaluation of its effectiveness which is informed by very thorough self-evaluation'
