ROCK LEGEND Jon Bon Jovi visited Las Vegas last week – gatecrashing the wedding of a couple from Leeds.
Lise and John Burton, from Whinmoor, flew to the USA to tie the knot on October 12.
But whilst the pair waited nervously in the foyer of the Graceland Chapel, Bon Jovi’s lead singer Jon walked through the door.
Lise, 35, said: “We were nervous enough as it was but when he walked in, my jaw dropped to the floor.
“It was a surprise, to say the least. He was really chilled out and stood there with his sunglasses on.
“My husband turned to look at me and mouthed, ‘That’s Jon Bon Jovi!’
“He sat next to us and spent 10 minutes chatting about how far we’d travelled to get married and how he wears sunglasses after big concerts.
“And he happily posed for a photo.
“Then the minister called us to go through and say our vows.”
She added:“To be given away by Elvis after having a chat with Jon Bon Jovi was the most surreal hour of my life.
“It was amazing. He was a very lovely man who made our day extra memorable.”
The Graceland Chapel is also where Jon Bon Jovi, 51, married his high school sweetheart Dorothea 24 years ago.
The singer also held a concert in the chapel’s parking lot in 2001, where around 75 couples met to renew their vows with him.
Leeds couple Lise, 35, and husband John, 45, are both Bon Jovi fans.
She added: “We are fans and have their songs on our i-pods.
“But their music is a little bit more special to us now.”
The band was performing at a concert at the MGM Grand hotel at the time of Lise and John’s wedding and it is understood that Jon turned up at the chapel to walk an Australian fan down the aisle, who had appealed to him on television to be a part of her wedding.
Lise added: “I think he might have stolen my thunder a little bit!
“But I was so nervous before the wedding that when he turned up, it put me at ease because it distracted me.”
She added: “We were both on a high.”
Lise and John have three children – Emily, 18, Leo, five, and Ted, six months.
