Road traffic accidents cause Leeds rush hour chaos

  • by Paul Robinson

ROAD accidents caused morning rush-hour chaos on two busy commuter routes in Leeds today.

Woodhouse Lane was reported to be closed outbound following a car smash near its junction with Clarendon Road.

Kirkstall Lane in Headingley was also shut, due to a combination of a burst water main and an accident involving two cars and a bus.

Traffic was said to be queuing in both directions between Kirkstall Lane’s Morris Lane and Commercial Road junctions.
