Raider targets Leeds bookmaker

THIS is the moment a Leeds bookmakers office was robbed by a mystery raider.

Now detectives from City and Holbeck CID are appealing for witnesses to the robbery at the Bet Fred offices on Top Moorside, Holbeck, Leeds, on Monday. (February 6) at around 9pm.

Police were called to the premises after reports that a man had entered and threatened staff.

The suspect had approached the counter and whilst fumbling in his pocket, had demanded cash from two women counter assistants.

The assistants fearing that the suspect had a weapon, the staff handed over £27 cash to him and then left the betting office.

He was described as a white man in his thirties, around 5ft 6in tall of medium build. He had short brown hair, stubble and wore a dark jacket, blue scarf, white trainers and blue jeans with a ‘Henley’s’ logo on the back.
