The judges were especially impressed with the efforts made by Pudsey in Bloom to bring improvements to the town centre.
They also commented in the newly sponsored hanging baskets and barrier baskets around the town and praised Pudsey Park, Lowtown Primary School and the new created garden at the Baptist church.
Accepting the award, on behalf of the group and the people of Pudsey, Robert Key, chair of Pudsey In Bloom said: "We would especially like to thank everyone who has supported our efforts to keep Pudsey tidy and make it colourful, and a special thank you to all the businesses and societies that have sponsored displays this year.
"The In Bloom campaign is not just about flowers. It is about communities working together to improve their local environment and Pudsey In Bloom would welcome new members to help make this happen."
