Campaigners have gathered in protest at a circus which uses animals including lions and tigers.
More than a dozen people picketed with placards outside Peter Jolly’s Circus, which had parked up off Leeds Road, in Otley, during its shows on Saturday.
Protest organiser Lynne Coates said passing drivers pipped car horns in support, while some opted to join the protest.
She said: “Lions and tigers have no place in circuses.”
Last week Peter Jolly, from the circus which last played on Sunday, said the animals are kept to high welfare standards.
