Shops in Leeds city centre have been forced to close their doors following a power cut.
Dozens of stores around Briggate were closed this morning after a fault was reported on the electricity network.
A report on Northern Powergrid’s website said that engineers are onsite carrying out repairs.
Around 180 premises have been affected by the power cut that was reported at 10.50am.
A spokeswomen from Northern Powergrid said that the problem had been caused by damage to an underground cable.
She said that within an hour power was restored to a majority of the customers but there are still around 20 businesses without power.
