ALL sorts of sweet family fun will be on the menu at Pontefract Liquorice Festival this Sunday.
The fun day takes place in Pontefract town centre from 10am to 4pm with activities on offer including face-painting and puppet-making.
Lucy Liquorice will be on hand to entertain the youngsters.
And there will also be the chance for the children to take part in a lemon sherbet making experiment.
There will be more than 80 stalls selling a wide range of liquorice foods including liquorice beer, liquorice sweets, liquorice bread, liquorice pie, liquorice cake, liquorice cordial and liquorice fudge.
Coun Les Shaw, Wakefield council’s cabinet member for culture, leisure and sport, said: “This is going to be an exciting event for all the family.”
