Detectives are investigating after a woman fell to her death from a Leeds tower block.

The Chinese national, who has not been named by police, was found outside the block of flats in Lincoln Green yesterday afternoon. (Jan 7)

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman told the YEP: “At 2.25pm yesterday (Jan 7) police were contacted by the ambulance service after the body of a woman was found outside Cromwell Heights flats, in Thealby Close, Lincoln Green.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Enquiries established she had fallen from the building. The death is not being treated as suspicious and the Coroner’s Office has been informed.

“She has been identified as a 26-year-old Chinese national, who was living in east Leeds.”

Police say the woman was wearing a red top at the time she was found and officers would like to hear from anyone who saw her in the area in the time leading up to her death.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact CID at Stainbeck police station via 101
