POLICE are hunting a gang who attacked and robbed a taxi driver at knifepoint in Wakefield.
Officers have released CCTV images of a group of men they want to speak to in connection with the incident.
The taxi driver picked up three men on Kirkgate just before 3am on Sunday March 17 and was asked to drive to Agbrigg
He was asked to turn on to Regent Street in the Belle Vue area before one of the men produced a knife and demanded money. Another passenger hit the driver with a metal bar and stole the night’s takings before all three men leaving on foot.
The suspects are described as three middle eastern men. Two were thin and aged around 25. The third was aged around 40 and was balding and had a moustache. One of the men was wearing a brown jacket and jeans, another was wearing a black jacket and jeans and the third was wearing a maroon coloured top and blueish jeans.
