A new police pooch is preparing to sniff out crime- all he needs now is a name.
And the West Yorkshire Police Dog Section is giving the public a chance to name one of the litter of three male sprocker spaniel pups
Police are asking people to Tweet the force with their favourite Yorkshire name for one of the puppies from a list of Billy, Tyke, Cas, Ponte and Filey. Tweets should be sent to @WYPDogs
People can also log on to vote for their favourite name at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/nameapolicepuppy
Voting closes at midnight on Monday, October 8 and the most popular name will be announced later that week.
