Oxjam Crossgates: Music festival raises cash for charity

Around £400 was raised for charity from a mini festival of music held in Cross Gates.

Oxjam Crossgates was staged at St James Church on Church Lane.

All profits for Oxfam's work in countries around the world.

There was a packed programme of different musical genres on offer catering for all ages and tastes.

Organiser Heather Woodward said great fun was had at this year's event.

"Early indications are that we made in excess of 400 for OXFAM but still some money to come in yet. Everyone who missed it certainly missed out!

"The kids from Manston St James primary school were fantastic as were 2nd Manston Brownies who opened up.

"There was a very lively performance from 16 year old "little Elvis" that kept everyone entertained!"
