HUNDREDS of Yorkshire schoolchildren gave regular lessons a wide berth for an education day at a sun-drenched Headingley Carneige Cricket Ground.

More than 600 youngsters from 20 schools were bowled over yesterday when they played kwik cricket on the famous ground – in the company of England and Yorkshire cricketer Jonny Bairstow.
