A restaurant and bar group has announced it will open a new venture in the £350m Trinity Leeds development.
Leelex Limited, which owns Jake’s Bar, Oporto and Neon Cactus on Call Lane, Leeds and The Hummingbird in Chapel Allerton, will now open Cielo Blanco.
The restaurant will be a 125-seat restaurant serving healthy Mexican food.
The name Cielo Blanco, meaning ‘white sky’ was inspired by the curved glass roof that spans the Trinity Leeds shopping and leisure development that will house the new restaurant.
Owners Ged Feltham, Paul Lane have been on several trips to Mexico to sample food and drink that they can incorporate into the new restaurant.
As well as food, Cielo Blanco will also serve mexican beers, spirits and wines.
Cocktails will also be on the menu.
Last week it was announced that Trinity Leeds is 90 per cent let.
The one million sq ft site is the only major new shopping centre being built in the UK and shops will include Armani Exchange, Coast, Bose, Goldsmiths, Marks & Spencer, Primark, Cult, Hollister, Next, River Island, H&M, and Topshop/Topman.
Cielo Blanco will open to the public when the site is officially opened on March 21.
