Cycling YEP readers have been sending in their pictures following the launch of our On Yer Bike! campaign.

Fundraising riders planning to cycle from Liverpool to Castleford in aid of Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support and The Prince of Wales Hospice, in Pontefract, from June 28 to 29 have sent in a group photo as they prepare for the 140mile ride.

The Triple Trek team is hoping to raise £3,000. Visit uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/tripletrek to donate.

Pom Pom and Stanley, mascots for Stockeld Park, in Wetherby, also sent in a picture of them getting in the cycling spirit of the Tour de France Grand Depart, which will start in Yorkshire on July 5 and 6.

We are encouraging readers to send in pictures of them getting out and about on two wheels in a bid to both celebrate the world’s greatest cycle race and help inspire others to start cycling through our interactive On Yer Bike! campaign.

Whether you’re out exploring the Dales with your family and friends, commuting to work, taking part in a charity ride, cycling in fancy dress or simply nipping out on the bike to get some fresh air, we want to hear from you.

We will publish readers’ cycling pictures on our dedicated On Yer Bike! page every Tuesday and online until Le Tour rolls into action from Leeds’ Headrow for the start of the Leeds to Harrogate stage one on July 5.

To get involved send in your pictures, with a note telling us your name, age, where you are from and where your On Yer Bike! snap was taken, by emailing our Tour reporter at jonathan.brown@ypn.co.uk, tweeting @leedsnews using the #onyerbike hashtag or by posting on our www.facebook.com/yep.newspaper Facebook page.
