Fears are growing for a pensioner who was last seen walking on moorland.
Barbara Colling, 68, has not been seen since 9.30am yesterday (Jan 28) when she was seen walking from Helmsley towards Stokesley, on the opposite side of the North York Moors, North Yorkshire Police said.
Officers are extremely concerned for her safety as Mrs Colling, from Helmsley, has serious health issues and her behaviour is out of character, a force spokesman said.
Mrs Colling is white, 5ft 6in, of average build with medium-length blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a navy blue jacket, blue trousers, a black woollen hat with ear flaps and black boots.
Police think she was carrying a black rucksack. Officers said Mrs Colling is not thought to have any money or debit cards with her.
Sergeant Craig Malia said: “I am appealing to anyone who has seen Barbara since she went missing to contact North Yorkshire Police immediately. Dial 101, select option 1 and pass the information to the Force Control Room.”
