New arrivals at Temple Newsam's Home Farm

The sure sign that spring is here is the growing number of new arrivals at Temple Newsam's Home Farm.

There are already over 70 new-born lambs to see on the farm, along with over 50 rare-breed cattle calves and more entering the world every day.

The lambs are a variety of breeds, ranging from the smallest Boreray Sheep to Kerry Hills and Longwooled Wensleydales, while the cattle include Vaynols, Irish Moiled, Red Polls, Gloucesters and Shorthorns.

All the new arrivals can be seen by paying a visit to Home Farm, which is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
