Minnie the Minx gets to grips with Doctor Who

June Whitfield's character in the Doctor Who Christmas special clearly takes a shine to the Timelord, cheekily placing her hand on his bottom as they pose for photos.

The veteran actress plays Minnie Hooper in the star-studded show, called The End Of Time: Part One.

With a twinkle in her eye, Minnie also grabs the Doctor's cheek and gives it a friendly tug.

The episode also boasts appearances by Bernard Cribbins, Catherine Tate, former James Bond Timothy Dalton - and Life On Mars actor John

Simm as the Doctor's psychotic nemesis, the Master.

The adventures mark the 10th Doctor's final journey, before Tennant regenerates as new Doctor Matt Smith.

Written by Russell T Davies, the show sees both the Doctor and the Master determined to cheat death, with the battle ranging from the wastelands of London to the mysterious Immortality Gate, while the alien Ood warn of an even greater danger approaching.

* Doctor Who: The End Of Time, Part One airs on BBC1 at 6pm on Christmas Day.
