MEGASTAR Robbie Williams rolled into Leeds last night for an intimate gig at the O2 Academy.
Around 500,000 fans applied for tickets for his UK tour of four small venues – but only a lucky 2,500 got their hands on them for the Leeds gig.
The heart-throb singer, who has had hits with Millennium, Angels and Let Me Entertain You, told yesterday (Sept 11) how he had had a ‘falling out’ with his heavily-pregnant wife over the mini concert tour.
Ayda, who is expecting the couple’s first child in the next few weeks, has told Williams to cancel his live gigs if she goes into labour.
However, he said he did not want to let down his fans, adding: “I’ve had a bit of a falling out with the wife. I’ve got gigs this week. The baby could come at any minute. The wife has said ‘If I go into labour and you’ve got a gig, say, in Leeds or Dublin, you’ve got to cancel it and come home’. “Do you think my audience will go ‘Oh, it’s ok, his wife’s pregnant – that’s fine’. They won’t will they? The show must go on, surely?”
