Brave fundraiser Caroline Young is to stand out from the crowds by running in fancy dress to work in Leeds for 15 days.
Caroline, who works at law firm DLA Piper, is mid-way through her 15-day challenge for Macmillan Cancer Support as she gets dressed up to run 10k in total into work, whatever the weather.
She said: “I’ve been spurred on by support from people ‘tooting’ their horns or waves from school kids and families. It really spurs me on. It’s amazing to put a smile on their faces with my fairy costume. I’d like to thank Macmillan and friends and family for their ongoing support.”
All proceeds raised by Caroline’s 10k will help raise funds for Macmillan by providing much needed services throughout Leeds to people affected by cancer. More than one in three people in the UK will be diagnosed with some form of cancer. Macmillan ensures that every person affected gets the best experience possible, whether that be through practical or emotional support.
Macmillan offers a wide range of services that ensures that no one has to face the fight alone.
Caroline said: “It’s amazing what Macmillan Cancer support are able to do to support people and their families. My challenge will finish on September 27.”
