A man was left fighting for life in a crash in Leeds.

Police are appealing for information after the 30-year-old man was seriously hurt in the smash in the early hours of Sunday (January 13) on Church Street, Hunslet.

The incident happened at 12.20am when the blue Daewoo Matiz he was travelling in was in collision with an Audi A4.

He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment to what were initially classed as life-threatening injuries.

A 22-year-old man who was in the Audi suffered less serious injuries in the incident but was taken to hospital along with two female passengers, aged 21 and 20, who were in the Matiz.

The 30-year-old remains in hospital but his injuries are no longer considered life-threatening.

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact PC Kenny at the eastern area roads policing unit based at Killingbeck Police Station via 101.
