A man escaped with only minor injuries after falling onto a car from a bridge over Leeds inner ring road.
The 30-year-old landed on a Hyundai i10 after falling from the footbridge at the end of Great George Street in the city centre.
Police said extensive damage was caused to the roof and windscreen of the car, but the man suffered only minor injuries and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment.
PC Rob Owens, who is investigating the incident, said: “The car was travelling east on the A58(M) at the time of the incident and I am keen to hear from anyone who saw the man on the bridge prior to him falling or who witnessed the collision itself.”
The incident happened at about 10pm last Saturday.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Owens at the roads policing unit at Killingbeck Police Station via 101.
