A cool charity challenge has seen Tony ‘The Fridge’ Phoenix-Morrison walk hundreds of miles with the 40kg kitchen appliance strapped to his back.
Tony reached Leeds yesterday (Aug 23) during his gruelling walking challenge, which will see him walk and run over 1,000 miles from John O’Groats to Land’s End whilst carrying the fridge.
The 49-year-old has now reached the half-way point of his 40 marathons in 40 days challenge, which he has taken on to help raise money for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation for cancer research.
Tony, from Hebburn in Tyne and Wear, first took on a fridge-based charity event in 2011 at the Great North Run in a bid to boost funds.
