Police appeal after man indecently exposed himself to young girls at Wakefield Kirkgate railway station

POLICE are hunting a man who exposed himself in front of two girls aged 12 and 13 and touched himself inappropriately at a railway station in Wakefield.

British Transport Police (BTP) has released images of a man officers want to talk to after examining CCTV footage of the platforms and subway at Wakefield Kirkgate station.

Detective Constable Jacqui Wilson of BTP Leeds said a man approached the two girls and started touching himself just before midday on May 18 while they were stood in a passenger shelter.

She said: “A short time later he indecently exposed himself to the girls and then left the station.

“The two girls, both from the local area, were understandably very upset by the incident. They did they right thing and phoned for help and we have been providing support to them and their family since the incident.”
