Man, 31, discovered hanging from scaffolding outside Leeds home
Workmen discovered a Leeds man hanging from scaffolding outside his home, an inquest heard.
Michael Thompson, 31, was found by workmen who were carrying out roof repairs at his home in Horsforth.
Thursday’s (February 2) inquest opening at Leeds Coroner’s Court heard that Mr Thompson had been out with a group of friends in the suburb last Friday.
He was due to meet workmen the next morning but did not show up.
The men then started work at the front of Mr Thompson’s home on Newlaithes Gardens before discovering him suspended from scaffolding.
A provisional report confirmed that the cause of death was “due to suspension”. The inquest was adjourned and a cremation order was issued.
