M1 bridge threat jump man talked down to safety UPDATED
A man reported to be threatening to jump from a bridge over the MI which led to its partial closure has been was talked down to safety.
The man had been spotted on a bridge above the M! at junction 41 with the M62 near Lofthouse at about 10.25am on January 27.
Police closed the southbound carriageway of the M1 and called a trained negotiator to talk to the distressed man. He was later persuaded to come down at about 1pm.
