A couple who got engaged in the excitement of winning more than £6.5m in the National Lottery have now got married.
Batley couple Graham Neild, 55, and his new wife Amanda, 48, wed at Dewsbury Town Hall six weeks after winning the windfall, surrounded by close family and friends.
Graham had attempted to ask Amanda to marry him on several occasions but kept losing his nerve. The size of the win game him the confidence to pop the question and Amanda said ‘yes’.
Graham said: “Winning the Lotto was an amazing experience but I really hit the jackpot when Amanda agreed to marry me. The wedding day was everything we’d hoped for and despite our millions we didn’t need a lavish venue to make it special.”
