Lesley Joseph backs Yorkshire heart campaign

ACTRESS Lesley Joseph wore her heart on her sleeve to support the launch of a new fundraising appeal.

The star of TV sitcom Birds of a Feather, pictured above, is backing Yorkshire Building Society's Heart to Heart campaign in aid of the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Heart to Heart will raise money to help fund the BHF's vital work, including its Heart HelpLine – a special telephone service run by cardiac nurses and heart health advisers trained to give advice on medical and lifestyle issues.

Anyone can call to ask about their own heart health problems or those of a loved one.

To help boost funds, limited edition cuddly Christmas tree decorations and reindeer food for Santa's little helpers will be on sale at the Yorkshire's branch on Briggate as well as its Farsley and Rothwell branches throughout the appeal, which runs until December 31.

All money raised will be matched pound for pound by the Yorkshire Building Society's Charitable Foundation.

Lesley Joseph said: "I'm proud to be backing Yorkshire Building Society's Heart to Heart Appeal for the BHF.

"This is a fantastic way for people to make a real difference this Christmas and support the charity's Heart HelpLine which provides vital care and support for heart patients and their families."
