Opera star Lesley Garrett was the star of the show as thousands of classical music fans headed to Opera in the Park.
Saturday’s concert, which was also organised by Leeds City Council, saw Lesley on the bill alongside baritone David Kempster and internationally-acclaimed tenor Ji-Min Park.
The trio sang some of the greatest and most recognisable music from operas, such as La Traviata and La Boheme, with music arranged and performed by the Orchestra of Opera North.
The whole show was hosted by Classic FM presenters John Suchet and Margherita Taylor as part of the station’s special 20th birthday celebrations.
The show, which was supported by Classic FM and the Yorkshire Evening Post as media partners, was brought to a close with a spectacular fireworks display accompanying the finale of the event.
