Expansion into the North-West has always been part of our long-term strategy but we wanted to be sure that we had got our product right before taking this step.

We are now looking for franchisees in other parts of the country.

"Andrea is absolutely the right person to head the move into the North West; she is enthusiastic and energetic and has considerable experience of directory sales in the region. I am confident she will do well."

Andrea added: "Decision2day.com is a really exciting concept; it brings together on one site everything that that you need to improve your home – tool hire, a directory of local tradespeople, as well as useful DIY tips and advice.

"Having been born and brought up in Rochdale, I know the area very well and I am confident that the D2D services will be very popular this side of the Pennines."

Andrea plans to employ four sales people initially to help her to build the business in the North West.

Decision2day was launched in October 2009 and lists 40 different trades, including builders, plumbers, electricians, landscape gardeners, decorators and interior designers. It provides a national toolhire service in partnership with Hire Station Ltd.
