Leeds: Voters urged to submit views about changes to polling arrangements

l

l

Leeds voters are urged to submit their views about a review of polling arrangements for the city council area, and for the governance of all parish and town councils.

The joint review of districts, places and polling stations will not affect Leeds City Council’s boundary, the boundaries of its eight parliamentary constituencies or its 33 city wards.

However the venues where voting takes place, the catchment areas and arrangements for town and parish councils may be affected.

Full details about the review are available on the council’s website www.leeds.gov.uk under the ‘Polling District Review’ section.

Maps and other information are also available for inspection by appointment at the Leeds City Council electoral services office at the Town Hall by calling 0113 3952858 or emailing: electors@leeds.gov.uk

Representations should be made no later than April 15.

The council will publish its initial proposals on June 24, followed by further consultation until September 16. A final notice of the joint review will be published on November 25.
