A LEEDS vets practice is launching an online campaign to help reunite lost pets with their owners.

White Cross Vets in Roundhay operates 12 surgeries in the UK and each one has a Facebook page where people can post pictures of lost and found pets. The websites are helping to reunite more than 10 pets every week with their worried owners.

Clinic director, James Wood, from White Cross Vets on Street Lane, said: “Our Facebook page acts as a central point for worried owners to share photos and information with thousands of pet lovers in the area. Last month a bearded dragon was found in the street and brought it into one of our practices. Within hours of posting about it on Facebook the community rallied and he was safely back at home with his owner.”
