LEEDS United legends including ex boss Simon Grayson will clash with Rugby League stars in a special charity match.
Castleford Tigers’ players Danny Orr and Ryan Hudson will join players representing Pontefract’s Prince of Wales Hospice for the match at the Tigers’ stadium on September 16.
The rugby players’ team will lock horns with a Leeds United side that will include former player and manager Grayson, in a clash to raise funds for the Halfpenny Lane hospice.
Mr Hudson said: “The hospice is something that’s close to all our hearts, so the more people we can get to come along the more we can raise awareness of the hospice’s work.”
The Leeds United side will be chosen from a list of players who have played for the club over its long history.
Sharron Chapman, co-organiser of the event, said: “We ran the legends game last year and it was such a success that we thought we would try and take it to a larger scale by holding it at Castleford Tigers’ stadium.
Tickets for the event are £5 for adults and £2.50 for children and concessions.
