Leeds tycoon’s son cheated death in mid-air drama

THE son of millionaire Leeds businessman Jimi Heselden cheated death when his plane’s engine failed in mid-air, it has emerged.

Jason Heselden was one of three passengers on the light aircraft, which was forced to make an emergency landing in a farmer’s field near Bramham.

The Piper Warrior plane was badly damaged in the incident but no one on board was injured.

Now 39-year-old Jason has spoken out about the terror flight and praised pilot Gordon Elliott for saving his and his fellow passengers’ lives.
