Two teenage boys have been arrested - for throwing a brick at a police car in Leeds.
The pair, aged 14 and 15, were pursued and caught by officers after the window of the patrol car was damaged as it drove along Belle Isle Road, Belle Isle, at about 7pm on Wednesday. (October 9)
Police believe the incident may be linked to others involving missiles being thrown at moving vehicles over the last fortnight.
A spokesman for Rothwell Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Police believe that there are a number of youths possibly involved in this however it may only be one or two who are actually doing the throwing.
“We would also take this opportunity to highlight that the throwing of a stone, brick or any other projectile at a moving vehicle is not only irresponsible it is extremely dangerous and anyone caught not only risks being arrested for criminal damage but also for endangering road users, which is a more severe offence.”
