Leeds student's family horrified by Facebook message from murderer
A notorious prison is investigating a complaint that Bus Stop killer Levi Bellfield sent a sick Facebook message taunting a dead Leeds student's family.
Matthew Wilcox, a 19-year-old geography student at Leeds University, was pulled dead from a river on March 5 after going missing six days earlier following a night out.

A touching tribute page was set up on Facebook for the teenager, of Rotherham, which has seemingly been hijacked by the murderer congratulating the teenager on polluting the river.

The message, posted on the memorial site under Bellfield's name, said: 'I didn't know Matthew but, respect infecting that Leeds water supply you're a hero respect due.'

Brutish Bellfield was jailed two years ago for the murders of students Marsha McDonnell, 19, and Amelie Delagrange, 22, as well as the attempted murder of schoolgirl Kate Sheedy, 18.
The London bouncer and car clamper, who is also the prime suspect in the murder of schoolgirl Milly Dowler, was jailed for life for the vicious killings and is currently in Wakefield Prison along with other high-profile prisoners.
The Ministry of Justice said it was still awaiting evidence the message, which has been removed, came from Bellfield.
Prisoners would not normally have unsupervised internet access but an
investigation has been going on for six months into allegations prisoners at Wakefield had access to smuggled mobile phones.
David MacDonald, from charity Cruse Bereavement Care, said: "It is a great personal tragedy to his parents, to his aunt, to uncles, to grandparents, to brothers and sisters and friends. To encounter something of this sort really is pretty despicable."
A spokesman for Facebook said: "We have a robust process in place with the Ministry of Justice where by they let us know if someone is a serving prisoner.
"We would otherwise have no way of knowing for sure that a person is in prison. If the Ministry of Justice confirm to us that person is in prison and has no way of updating their profile we will remove it."
