A shopping centre has been given a French makeover to mark the arrival of the Tour de France.
The Light, based in The Headrow, is being rebranded as ‘La Lumiere’ as the leisure and retail complex begins a six-week programme of Grand Depart-related activities, competitions and workshops.
The world’s leading cyclists will roll into action from outside the nearby town hall on July 5 at 11.10am to mark the start of Le Tour.
Centre manager Brian Oakley said: “We wanted to do something special to celebrate and honour this huge event. La Lumiere has a definite ring to it.”
