An iconic Leeds restaurant is celebrating 30 years in the Good Food Guide.
Prosecco glasses were clinking at Salvo’s in Headingley after the arrival of The Good Food Guide 2014 - in which the restaurant has appeared regularly since 1984.
The restaurant was set up in 1976 by Salvatore Dammone and is now run by his sons Gip (pictured) and John Dammone.
They said their regular appearance in the best-selling guide is “a real testament to the enduring success of Salvo’s”.
They also thanked their loyal customers and added: “To get such an endorsement from an independent, trusted and authoritative guide to UK restaurants is a real thrill and, as an independent, family-run Italian restaurant, we truly appreciate, value and celebrate this.”
