Generous youngsters visited a Headingley community project to spread Christmas cheer after they supported its food bank.

Pupils from St Chad’s Primary School in Far Headingley, Leeds, joined a party at the Right Choices Project to present organisers with money raised to support the event through their Christmas concert. At the party they met volunteers who run the food bank, organisations who back it including Sainsbury’s and Asda – who both donate food – and users of the scheme.

The food bank has been running since November 2012 and everyone who has used it was given a small Christmas present at the party, held at the Heart Centre in Headingley.
