A much-loved Leeds music venue has announced it will close at the end of December.
The Well at Joseph’s Well has seen the like of the Kaiser Chiefs, The Killers and British Sea Power take to the stage during its 20 year run.
A statement on the venue’s website said: “We are truly and utterly devastated.
“Sadly the building owner has chosen to revoke the right to use any part of the property as a concert room or for live music.
“We have spent the last six months investing in the property and rebuilding this amazing live music venue.
“We are so proud of everything we’ve achieved.”
Gigs will continue until the venue closes at the end of December.
The venue was previously shut in March after issues with soundproofing, beer prices and hours.
It was also closed temporarily in 2008.
