The family of a tragic mum have put their best foot forward and walked 66 miles in memory of her baby son.
Carrie Curtis’s son Charlie was diagnosed with Potter’s Syndrome when she was 18 weeks pregnant. Just 19 minutes after Charlie’s birth he died in Leeds General Infirmary. Carrie, 20, from Middleton, Leeds, set up a charity earlier this year to offer support to bereaved parents and raise awareness of the condition.
Her family walked from their home arriving in Nottingham 26 hours later to raise cash for Charlie’s Angel Centre. The family have received backing from Yorkshire scriptwriter Kay Mellor who was named as the charity’s patron.
