The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) was alleged to have erred in law but Judge Mr Justice Stadlen rejected claims and refused him an injunction which would have forced the BHA to lift the ban and let him race again.

But the judge has ordered a re-hearing of the claim that the jockey had passed on insider information in breach of the rules.
The judge said there was some incorrect evidence given on this point to the disciplinary panel and a re-hearing was needed in the interest of justice.
He said that when they fixed the disqualification period, the BHA may have been influenced by the finding that he supplied insider information.
The married father-of-three was found guilty of being part of a conspiracy and breaching the rules of racing in 11 races between March 2004 and December 2005.
He was said to have conspired with others to commit a corrupt or fraudulent practice.
Lambourn trainer Paul Blockley, who was also found guilty was disqualified for two and a half years.
